How Silvera makes money

This page exists so that nothing about how Silvera makes money has to be worked out from context.

The arrangement

Silvera Mobility does not manufacture the products in the daily range and does not hold them in stock. They are made and sold by 2nd Springs. Silvera selects which of their products to carry, writes the descriptions, comparisons and guides on this site, and links to their store.

When you buy through one of those links, Silvera receives a commission. Your order is placed with, charged by and shipped by the manufacturer. The price you pay is identical whether you arrive through Silvera or go to them directly.

The mobility equipment links are different

Everything above describes the daily range. The mobility equipment pages, the wheelchairs, walkers, canes, cushions and scooters, work another way and it is worth saying so plainly rather than letting one disclosure appear to cover both.

Silvera earns nothing when you buy a piece of mobility equipment through this site. Those pages link out to Amazon, we are not in an Amazon affiliate program, and the links carry no tracking of any kind. We publish them because a page that tells you a chair weighs 13.5 lbs and then makes you go and find it is a worse page.

If that ever changes it will be written here first, and this paragraph will say so instead. In the meantime, the honest reading of an equipment recommendation on this site is that nothing was riding on it.

What that changes, and what we do about it

A commission is a standing incentive to recommend whatever pays most, which is usually whatever costs most. Three things on this site push back on that:

• Every product page carries a "not ideal for" section, written by us, set in the same size type as "best for".
• The comparison page and several guides recommend the cheapest product in the range, repeatedly, because for a lot of people it is the right answer.
• Three of the eight guides conclude that a supplement is not the solution to the problem the reader arrived with.

What we do not do

• We do not publish reviews, ratings, testimonials, customer counts or awards, because we have not collected any.
• We do not claim to be an authorized reseller, a clinical service or a medical provider.
• We do not run advertising pixels or sell visitor data.

Product facts on this site come from the manufacturer's published product information. Where we could not verify something, it is not on the page.
